In a Nutshell
Three typical moral arguments made by prophetic leaders:
Enfranchised: Speaking directly to the elites, as an elite, "I am like you and I am like those whom you target. You must treat them with respect, just as you treat me."
Useful as a way to stop Christians from attacking peasants, and other social members, and as a way to expand the franchise, to include women, blacks, landless, even Indians. Also, as a way to make the elites serve by the same laws as the rest of us.
Dissident: Speaking to the elites: "What you are doing is wrong, morally intollerable. I would be right in doing everything I can to stop you."
Utopian: I refuse to participate in this system of violence and dishonesty. I will make a different world.
